Earlier, while folding laundry, I found a $20 bill folded neatly inside one of Zoey’s skirt pockets. I sat staring blankly at it for a couple of seconds, wondering how $20 could be coming out of a pocket belonging to a two-and-a-half-year-old, before I remembered that the money was a little extra Easter gift from her Grandma a couple weeks ago. It was a little unnerving! It wasn’t quite up there with pulling, say, a Budweiser bottle cap or a set of car keys out of her pocket — but still, it was weird.
